Marylebone Town Hall needs no introduction. A London institution with over a century of weddings, its guest list reads like a who's who: McCartney, Ringo Starr, Liam Gallagher, Antonio Banderas. A few years ago I had the privilege of witnessing a truly special milestone firsthand, commissioned by The Times to photograph the centenary celebration, an extraordinary day when 100 couples married within a single day. It was one of the most remarkable days I have spent behind a lens.
But beyond the legend, it's a photographer's dream. The grand exterior, the marble staircase, the wood panelled rooms, that long marble corridor with its row of sash windows that floods with the most extraordinary natural light, the kind I genuinely live for.
So many different beautiful and classic backdrops, all perfectly suited to a London editorial photographer like me. Luminous, directional, endlessly flattering light. And when the mood calls for something more dramatic, direct flash down that same corridor is pure magic. It's also one of the rare London venues where 35mm film photography feels completely at home, something about the authenticity of the building just suits it. If you're drawn to editorial imagery, city cool, and somewhere with real soul, I can't think of anywhere better.

Whether you are exchanging vows in one of the smaller, more intimate rooms or filling one of the grand ceremonial spaces, every corner of this building offers something beautiful to work with. It is the kind of venue that makes my job a joy.
